Every year since 2009, approximately 450 bottles of Thalassitis are submerged 15-17 meters deep in the coast of Santorini. The wine continues to ripen under the sea for a period of 5 years due to lack of oxygen and light.
Complex nose with aromas of smoked oak (while the wine in reality did not have wood bearing), pure fruit such as mango, lime and nuances of nuts and coffee.
Impressive, complex and round in the mouth. Multidimensional aromas of ripe apple, pear, minerality and a hint of honey with a nuance of petrol. The finish is long and buttery.
